Gimp Tut ~ Color Its Everywhere TuT
Welcome To V1pers CoLoR its Everywhere Tut
This is my Very first Tut So i hope its good =/
For This tut will you need a little know how of Gimp.
Resources:
Wireframe Render
ColourFul Render(DuH)
Some Splatter Brushes
Step1:
Firstly Open a new Image At whatever size you want, I used 400 × 150.
Now On the Background Layer, Go To the Blend Tool and Drag The Pastel Rainbow on Default Settings From Left to Right. Then Duplicate That Layer And Put The Top Layer To Multiply.
Right Click and merge the Top Layer Down. It Should Now Look Like This.
Step2:
Now Were gonna do some smudging, Pull out your Vine brush and Put the Spacing as 1.0, and Rate at 100%. You want to now lighty sumdge around the colors, Messing with the Opacity and Jitter as you go.Mine Now Looks Like This.
Step3:
Make a New Layer and Fill With This Colour 2b2b2b. Then Add a Wireframe Render and Place on Multiply.Move The Wireframe around till you fin a nice flow.Merge the Wireframe Down. Now Grab the Scissors Tool and cut an unusual shape out of the Wireframe and Grey Background,Delete the selection. Dont make it to big, make it about in the middle of the sig leving a litte gap to the left and room for text on the right, or the other way round, however you want.Mine now looked like this.
Step4:
Now heres the simplest step, add your render so hes in your gap that you cut out, make it so it looks like he is kind of jumping out.Mine Looked like this.(I edited my hole a tweak for render to fit)
Step5:
Now this is where your Splatter brushes come in.Using different styles of splatter brush , splatter around the edge of the hole in different colours (I used Red,Green,Blue,Yellow,Pink, and Orange) also creating a flow towards where your text is going to be.Mine now looked like this.
Step6:
I Now duplicated my render, and smudged it with a splatter brush towards where my text will be.Then i went to Colour > Colorify and selected one of my custom colors of my sig.I erased what looked bad and Set at what looked good.Mine looked like this.
Step7:
All you have to do now is add text And a Border and your done!
My Finnished Result:
V1
V2(Better One)

Re: Gimp Tut ~ Color Its Everywhere TuT
Ok Vine Brush is a Brush that you will find in your brushes Dialog or on the Platte
Too add a New Layer Go to Dialogs then to layer dialog or Cntrl + L , then on bottom left corner there will be New Layer

Okey, Thanks
But when I added the layer, Can I just start ''making'' it?
