That looks good you might want to try to blend the pictures together and the text a little but with logos just as long at it matches your website it doesnt matter how "good" it looks just so it looks like the page

make it two layers and use a brush.

I also like to buttnize my banners to make them more 3D and more polished looking.

Ya that might help a little and would be good. But some banners dont look good with that and also they arent buttons they are banenr

I would go against the putting the text in low opacity option. The most important thing on the banner is the text. To advertise, why would you jeopardize that by lowering the opacity? Or is the picture the focus?
I don't think so right? So draw attention to the text, not the picture.
